Receive…. and believe…
Tired of feeling… tired ?
Time to fill your own cup ?
Sound is an important part of how we live, navigate and express ourselves in the world. You’ll be invited to slow down and listen to your body and your own heart’s desire while feeling supported by sound.
Morning chats about sound healing over breakfast, Vibroacoustic Therapy sessions….
Prepare to be inspired & become a greater gift to those you serve.
Imagine waking up with space in your heart… maybe a morning walk or swim…
We have a boutique villa with infinity pool to ourselves in the village of Elios where we'll open inspired conversations, enjoy fresh local food, immerse in sound baths and yoga nidra.
Through the week we’ll explore sound healing practices with tuning forks, voice and one of the hottest trends in sound healing - Vibroacoustic Therapy!
Accommodations in Elios
This modern, fresh villa has 4 bedrooms - one of them being a shared room with 2 beds. Outdoor eating spaces, pool and some cozy nooks for having some time to yourself to rest, read, journal…
Our sound baths and yoga nidra will be held here as will our group meals.
You’re sure to feel relaxed and inspired here. The sea is just a 10 minute walk through the village
Your profound connection to sound is natural…
it is our first sense to awaken and the last one to leave us…
Ever had a song transport you to a time and place emotionally?
Sound healing effects are felt immediately as your minds gets quiet, heartbeat and breath slow down and allow your whole body to relax and tune IN.
From here your body can rest, repair and restore.
Benefits include improved sleep (don’t we all need that?!) better digestion, improved mood, reduction in pain and inflammation, increased circulation and so much more!
“I feel a deeper connection to myself through sound.”
“My time in Greece with Narissa was an experience I’ll never forget. The scenery was breathtaking, the breakfasts provided were so healthy, fresh and delicious. The sound baths and Vibroacoustic therapy changed the way I live and view my life everyday. I came back feeling relaxed, refreshed and renewed with friendships that will last a lifetime. I’m now trying to incorporate some of what I’ve learned into my daily routine.
If you have the opportunity to take this journey - do it! It was truly magical.
Thank you again for an amazing experience and bringing us all together.”

Why Sound Healing & Skopelos??
I’m a Musician, certified Sound Therapy practitioner and Vibroacoustic Therapy trainer from Canada. I have the good fortune to own a home on Skopelos with my husband who’s family roots are there. I fell in LOVE with Greece and this island in particular with it’s Aegean views and Mamma Mia culture.
“I believe when we travel our sense of hearing is expanded. We’re hearing new sounds coupled with new experiences. This builds new neural pathways in the brain which leads to new inspiration and ideas.”
You actually bring back a new version of yourself!
The sounds of Greece, the silence and sacred space created on this retreat will allow you to go deeper into your own desires, purpose path and can bring insights you may not have had in familiar environments.
All this aimed at harmonizing YOU so you can be in harmony with the life you want to create when you get back home.
Our walk up to Agios Ioannis Church - Saint John - aka “the Mamma Mia Church” Skopelos Island.
200 steps and well worth it!
Mamma Mia!!!!
If you loved the 2008 movie Mamma Mia, you will LOVE this island! Echos of the movie dialogue and song still hang on the wind at the church - Agios Ioannis - and the many stunning beaches where scenes were filmed.
We’ll do our Mamma Mia karaoke night at Agioli Resto-Bar in the Skopelos Village Hotel - where the cast stayed for 25 days during shooting!
You’ll feel like you’re IN the movie!
Option to have a swim at the beach below the church.
The view from the church will leave you breathless, you’ll want to stay awhile up here!
Be prepared to leave a piece of your heart on the
greenest islands in Greece!
The Sporades Islands
With Skiathos and Alonissos so close, you could really just spend all your time in Greece here (one of my 2024 participants did!) Spend the day on Skiathos (some famous celebs own homes there) or overnight on Alonissos for a real slow Greek finish to your trip.
Greek Cats
It’s true, there are alot of cats in Greece and many of them need our help. You will have many opportunities to love them up and even make a donation to the people on the island who care for them making sure they have medicine when needed, operations and sterilizations to keep the population manageable.
The Greek cats await your love, snacks and support!
Many long, beautiful conversations happen over food here!
Love Greek food??
My doctor keeps telling me to eat a Mediterranean diet so let’s do it together!
Oh the Greek food… where do I start? Fresh fruit, tomatoes and cucumbers every day, local feta cheese and olive oil that will spoil you for all others??
Time honored recipes handed down through generations made with local ingredients like cheese, almonds, olives, grapes, peaches, cherries, pomegranate, oranges, lemons. Same day bounty from the sea and local farms. Baked goods… oh my.
Outdoor dining at our villa… sure to be some sweet moments here.
Breakfast will be provided.
Kitchen will be equipped with some basics and you’ll be able to pick up local food in the village for snacks and other meals if you’re staying in.
Elios has several good restaurants and my favorite seaside cafe Mandalaki!
Seaside Taverna in Loutraki, Glossa, Skopelos
Fancy to casual, 5 star or beach wear, cafes, tavernas, bakeries, family owned grocery stores.. whether you want to find a quiet spot to yourself or get out and mingle and meet some cool locals or travellers you’ll definitely have an easy time finding what suits you.
September on Skopelos is perfect!
Everything will still be open the sea is ideal for swimming after heating all summer and beaches are not too busy.
Skopelos Town
There are many options for gluten free, vegetarian and vegan and food prices are very reasonable. The more popular beaches have beach bars with food/drink menus. You'll never starve on this island!
What to bring
Here's a few things to consider:
Walking shoes - comfortable and worn in (if you buy new ones for the trip be sure to break them in!) You'll want sneaker/runners, sandals and water shoes too if your feet are sensitive to pebbles. Not all the beaches are sandy on Skopelos but they're all fabulous! *High heels are not advised because of all the uneven stonework in the town and villages. You can find some snazzy sparkly flats or wedges for evenings out if you wish.
Sun hat - for sun and heat protection under the greek heat. Shoulder seasons are hot enough for swimming but not so hot you can't enjoy yourself either. Consider natural or homemade sunscreens too, prevent your burn and keep chemicals out of the sea.
Natural fabrics! - polyester clothing is not your friend in the Greek heat. Fabrics like rayon, bamboo, cotton or linen are! Wear things that are loose and breathable for best comfort. A light jacket, sweater or wrap is good for the evening too.
A comfortable daypack - bring a small backpack, purse or sling for day trips to the beach or other villages.
Insulated water bottle! - there's a tremendous use of plastic water bottles in Greece. Reduce your use by filling your own water bottle. Double walled stainless steel are the best because they'll keep your water cool on day trips. The local water is good but heavy with minerals so can be hard on your system if you're not used to it.
Be comfortable, be kind, be yourself. Consider the local shops and products for purchases on the island. Often you'll be chatting with the owners and families you're directly supporting. On a small island, that means alot. Tipping at cafes and restaurants is appreciated too. Use CASH as much as you can to avoid fees for you and the businesses, keep the hard earned money in the hands of the business owners.

Narissa Young
Career vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and Canadian recording artist Narissa Young began studying Sound Therapy formally in 2014. Having known the power of music to instantly transform, she yearned for a more intentionally focussed way to connect and contribute. The 2021 completion of her Associate’s Degree in Sound Therapy through the Globe Institute in Sausalito, California paved the way and she’s been making waves ever since.
Spending several months of the year on Skopelos where she and her Greek husband own a home she's fallen in love with the island and the Mediterranean life. She loves to show people around and invite them to really slow down and listen to their own heart and expand their listening to the heartbeat of a village, a community, an island and beyond.
Her Vancouver Island studio is active year round with one on one sessions, offerings include in person and online tuning fork workshops and sound baths as well.
As co-owner and lead trainer at VibroacousticTherapy.com Narissa is making a difference in those around her with access to this restorative approach. Helping others feel safe with sound is her passion, resetting the nervous system is the foundation of this work.
